Some Bright News
My wife came home from work this evening and told me that she was given a promotion to assistant center director. Currently, she is a head teacher there. Financially, this all means that she well be getting a decent hourly(not too great) rate increase, but more importantly, her hours will increase. This will help out with that red number that was reported in the last post on our budget.
About the only negative to this is that I have to work from home a little more than I had planned. The past year has seen me telecommuting more often, but for political reasons, I was hoping to back into the office more. You see, somehow the more you are seen by coworker, the better your rating and people’s opinion of you. Anyway, all should be well in the end.
It should take a month or so to see what type of consistent impact this will have on our budget and debt. By then we hope to have some other decisions made on how to attack the debt. That discussion will be reserved for a later post.
