Budgeting Goal for December

Years gone by, BC(before children), we used to keep track of spending on a daily basis. This technique really helped us to stay on our budget. Actually, I had a fancy spreadsheet to enter in daily spendings and they would be totaled up on a separate page and compared against the monthly budget.
Come December, I am going to reinstate this method. Every penny spent will be tracked on a notepad and then transfered to the computer. This ultimately will help us in determining how best to pinch pennies. Of course, any savings will be applied to that ugly debt.
