Goodbye $11 Bank Fee

In my December budget summary, I discussed getting rid of the $14 worths of fees on our checking account.  It seems we were still on an old type of account that carried an $11 monthly fee.  The bank does not even offer this type of account anymore.

I shot an email over to the help desk to asked about switching and within 2 days, our checking was transferred to a new account with no monthly fees(although not sure about the $3 overdraft protection).  We are able to keep the same account number, so no need to order new checks.  This savings will inch us closer to get into the black on a monthly basis.

    Every little bit does truly help…
    Last year we went through a round of eliminating all sorts of little bits of monthly expenses, that in themselves didn’t seem like much. But when you looked at them as a yearly total…the damage was much bigger. Definitely money that can be allocated to much better causes…
