Posts I Enjoyed Reading Last Week
Posted on January 28th, 2008 by mmj
It was wild week in the financial world, what with the announcement of a Stimulus package and an interest rate reduction. Here are some of my favorite reads.
- Gather Little by Little opens up about 2 months of getting off track in Confessions of a personal finance blogger. What a wonderful post this was and it happened to be the first time I came upon his blog.
- Hank at My Investing Blog has some good tips on insurance with lessons learned from a recent car break-in, with My car got broken into this weekend and they stole $1500 of stuff; did my insurance cover it? This is a real eyeopener. I will be vary of what is stored in our car, especially since we have no garage.
- Paid Twice talks about how best to spend all those MyPoints points with some help from lulugal, in Addendum to Maximizing MyPoints Rewards. I love MyPoints and if you compare and study, some of their shopping offerings are pretty good and their service has been excellent.
- PunnyMoney has a comedic take on those new tax rebates in My Much More Awesome Economic Stimulus Plan. I am partial to 3, 8 and 10 myself.
This week may hold some more interest rate cuts, which for savers is proving to be costly as those saving account rates will continue to fall.

MMJ, thanks for including my article. Glad you found my site as well
Hey MMJ - thanks for the nod; maybe it’ll help drive some traffic to pay for the damages to the car!
Thanks!
