Day Eight at the Hospital: The Saga is over…
…kind of. We are all home tonight. While I was taking the older one to school, the little one was being prepped for the endoscopy. This was halted when the anesthesiologist took a listed to her and looked at her chart. It seems that she is not fully recovered from the RSV yet. It may take another week. If they went through with the procedure, she would have required an oxygen pump while she was put under and several treatments there after. He deemed it too much of a risk for a simple endoscopy.
So she was sent home and we are happy for now. She seems to be very happy again, so that is good news. They will wait a few weeks before taking a look at her. In the meantime, I hope and pray that she does not still have the bleeding and vomiting. We have to keep a close eye on her and track everything that she takes in.
For now, I am happy to have the family at home together. Although our schedules keeps us in and out at different hours, it is good to have everyone under the roof at bedtime.
