February Budget Final
Well, 1/6th of 2008 is already over. Boy these years go by really quick as you get older. February was a great month in terms of beating our goal. Even with hospital stay for our little one, we were able to keep our income on track and even earned above normal. My wife put in quite a few extra hour at the end of January and early February. That translated to about $420 more income for her than normal. Woohoo!!
More good news came in with us spending $60 less than our goal. The biggest savings was on clothing and gifts. Somehow we managed to keep those costs low. Putting the savings and extra together, we were able to best out budget goal by $480. The continuing bad news is that we still spent about $550 more than we earned. This will change, however, when we take our new home equity loan into consideration. Also, on a go forward basis, I will increase our monthly income due to the fact that my wife will be able to maintain some of her extra hours.
So, here is the breakdown for our semi successful month.
