Photography Website?
Lately, when I have had some downtime, I have been honing my photography skills. It hase been a minor hobby of mine for years, but only recently have I been pursuing it more seriously. I have talked about my interest in it here on a couple of occasions and would like to expand on my writings about the subject.
I don’t want to take up too much of this blog’s space on the subject and would like to devote another blog to it. The problem is time management. This site has been suffering lately because of time spent tending to our little one’s needs as well as job overload. This time of the year is always killer for me at work. I do like writing about our financial challenges and victories, and don’t want this site to suffer any more.
I have some thinking to do, but the bug has really hit me. My ultimate goal would be to make some extra income from photography, but that will take some more learning. The good thing about having a blog is that it will force me to stay on top of my hobby. Our finances have seen some good graces since this site was started, so maybe the same lightening can strike twice. Who knows?

There’s a lot of excellent Web sites and other resources for photography; books from the library, also classes at community colleges or adult education. This Week in Photography is a great podcast; there’s also Tips from the top floor. I’m working on my photography too, but my goal is just to get better at it. It actually might drive me to using contact lenses.
Thanks for the ideas Ryan. I will have to check them out. My wife actually signed me up for an online class that starts next week. I am looking forward to it. It was a nice birthday surprise.
