Where have I been?

The blog has been pretty quiet this past month. It has nothing to do with lack of material or motivation. We, as a family, have been extremely busy lately. Our little one’s appointment schedule is work than my work schedule. Add to that, our older ones deserves (and demands) more attention. Because the little one has so many needs, we have to remember not to forget that the older one is needed as well.

Yesterday we visited a genetics research team in Boston, who saw the little one about 8 months ago. They see quite a bit of improvement in here, where they were looking for some regression. This brightened our day! Later, while the whole family was enduring blood tests (for screening and more research), we asked the research coordinator where she fits in with other research candidates. She told us that our’s does not fit in with the other patients because she is showing some improvement. This gives us a lot of hope for her.

In a few weeks, we go back to Cleveland and hope that they see some improvement in her. For all of you that are praying for her, I thank you. It amazing, this roller coaster that we are on, but it seems to be traveling up right now.

With all this we have not let our finances fall aside. I have still continued to track our budget and see that we are ever so close to pulling on the positive side of income vs expenses. This month we see my raise go into effect. This adds another $200 per month to our budget. I will begin putting extra $$ towards the auto loan.

So, that is where we are. Hopefully, I will have some more blogging time in the near future.

  1. MMJ,

Good luck with all of that! I’m surprised you don’t have a social worker working with you (I know I sound like a broken record–remember records?–but I am kind of itching to help you here, because that’s the work I do best, with kids that have medical issues)…
